QUALIFICATION HIGHLIGHTS

  • Mr. Langenderfer has 33 years of experience in working with multiple earthwork, geosynthetic, and piping contractors

  • Mr. Langenderfer has acted as Construction Quality Assurance Manager/Technician for numerous solid and hazardous waste landfill construction projects at several different landfill facilities

  • Projects included landfill baseliner and closure construction, landfill gas management systems, leachate recirculation fields and storage tanks, and sedimentation and erosion control applications

  • His responsibilities have included communication with State Agencies, review and implementation of State and Federal Regulations

  • As a geosynthetics QC/Field Superintendent, Mr. Langenderfer installed millions of square feet of HDPE membrane, GCL, geo-composite, and textiles

  • He has assisted the Certifying Engineer in completing over 25 different Construction Certification Reports.  His responsibilities included reviewing as-built construction drawings, geotechnical and geosynthetic installation data, and photo documentation of construction procedures

Rockwood Landfill, Michigan – Lead CQA Technician

CQA services for a 62.2-acre cap single layer 40-mil HDPE geomembrane and geocomposite. Duties included monitoring of waste relocation, inspection of subgrade, geosynthetic material and concrete sampling and installation documentation.

Carleton Farms Landfill, Michigan – Lead CQA Technician

CQA services for the installation of over 100 new and replacement gas collection wells, installation of over 4,000-feet of 24-inch gas collection header, pneumatic pump installations, air and forcemain installations, condensate sump installations and horizontal collector installation. CQA services for the installation of 40-acre single layer 60-mil HDPE geomembrane, geocomposite and geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) system.

Arbor Hills Landfill, Michigan – Lead CQA Technician

CQA services for the installation of over 70 new and replacement gas collection wells, installation of over 5,000-feet of 24-inch and 18-inch gas collection header, pneumatic pump installations, air and forcemain installations, condensate sump installations and horizontal collector installation.

Sauk Trail Hills Landfill, Michigan – Lead CQA Technician

CQA services for the construction of a 5-acre single layer 60-mil HDPE geomembrane, geocomposite and geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) system.

Evergreen Landfill, Ohio – Lead CQA Technician

CQA services for the construction of a 7-acre single layer 60-mil HDPE geomembrane, geocomposite and 1-foot-thick sand drainage layer.

Adrian Landfill, Michigan – Lead CQA Technician

CQA services for a 35-acre cap single layer 40-mil HDPE geomembrane and geocomposite. CQA inspection and testing of installation for 2.5-acre double layer 60-mil HDPE system. Duties included on-site soils lab, i.e. soils classification, grain size analysis and modified proctor testing.

Port Clinton Landfill, Ohio – Lead CQA Technician

CQA services for a 29-acre cap with associated landfill gas extraction wells and collection piping.

Sunny Farms Landfill, Ohio – Lead CQA Technician

CQA services for a 9-acre cell. Responsibilities included soil placement monitoring and testing, geosynthetic material sampling and installation documentation, 3-foot shredded tire drainage layer and associated leachate collection piping installation.

Kansas City, Missouri

CQA services for test pad construction. Responsibilities included soil placement monitoring and testing, installation and monitoring of permeameters, data entry and report narrative outline.

BP North America, Ohio

CQA services for Mobile Treatment Units (MTU’s) installation and operation. Duties included operation and maintenance of MTU’s, scheduling and implementation of groundwater sampling events, data entry, report summaries and narrative outlines.

Oakland Heights Development Landfill, Michigan – Lead CQA Technician

CQA services for the construction of a 5-acre double layer 60-mil HDPE system. CQA services for the installation of new and replacement gas collection wells and associated collection piping.

Newton County Landfill, Indiana

Served as lead CQA technician during the construction of a 2–20-acre landfill cells. Services included supervision of contractors, data accumulation and documentation of re-compacted soils, geosynthetic clay liner, 60 mil HDPE geomembrane- locating and observing non-destructive and destruct seam testing, surveying of geomembrane panels, repairs and destructive locations, monitoring installation of geotextiles and protective soil placement and assisting in the production of the construction documentation report as well as Lead CQA technician during expansions of landfill gas leachate  collection systems. Services included supervision of field operations, subcontractor management, documentation of installation, and monitoring to ensure compliance with the construction quality assurance plan.

Lorain County Landfill, Ohio

Served as lead CQA technician during the construction of a 10-acre landfill cell. Services included supervision of contractors, data accumulation and documentation of re-compacted soils and assisting in the production of the construction documentation report.

Vienna Junction Landfill, Ohio

Served as lead CQA technician during the construction of a 10-acre landfill cell. Services included supervision of contractors, data accumulation and documentation of re-compacted soils, geosynthetic clay liner, 60 mil HDPE geomembrane- locating and observing non-destructive and destruct seam testing, surveying of geomembrane panels, repairs, and destructive locations, monitoring installation of geotextiles and leachate collection drainage layer materials and piping and assisting in the production of the construction documentation report.

Served as lead CQA technician during the construction of a 10-acre landfill cell. Services included supervision of contractors, data accumulation and documentation of re-compacted soils and assisting in the production of the construction documentation report.
