BEL Environmental Engineering, LLC (BEL) is an engineering and consulting firm that delivers effective solutions to complex problems. BEL is known as a leader in environmental compliance, construction quality assurance and engineering within the Solid Waste industry. We assist our clients in making informed decisions to meet, or exceed, their regulatory, operational and/or business goals. Our staff of engineers, construction managers, and environmental specialists have extensive and comprehensive experience in the field of Solid Waste Management. We are dedicated to slow, designed growth and pledge to take on the clients and projects that we feel we can provide the highest quality of service and responsiveness to. We expand our knowledge and fields of experience by expanding our team to include experts in the field or through partnering with well-established, experts in their field and working closely together.

BEL maintains safe practices and procedures which are key to the success of the company and the safety of our employees. Our internal Health and Safety Plan (HASP) provides project awareness and training procedures with safety in mind.

  • Daily and weekly field safety meetings

  • Yearly company safety training

  • Personal Protective Equipment training

  • Pre-employment and “just-cause” drug screening

  • Pre-employment background checks, including motor vehicle record review

  • New employee orientation provided by Health & Safety Officer

  • Hazard Communication Program

  • 40 hour hazwoper

  • Annual 8 hour hazwoper refresher

  • Nuclear Gauge training plus hazmat

​The DEI Committee accomplishes these tasks in the following ways:

  • Promoting regular and clear communication within the company regarding issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • Providing formal and informal training on issues relating to diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • Completing frequent assessments to evaluate the success and identify areas for potential improvement in the company’s efforts toward greater diversity, equity, and inclusion

In this way, the DEI Committee hopes to enhance and improve the experience of everyone who works at BEL.
